Location and Direction
The Department of History of Art/Graduate Department of Art main offices are located on the 6th floor, North tower of Sidney Smith Hall. Undergraduate courses are taught in the lecture halls on the 1st and 2nd floors; please consult the timetable for exact locations and times. Graduate courses are usually held in the seminar room located on the 6th floor.
Sidney Smith Hall (100 St. George Street) is located between Harbord Street to the North, St. George Street to the East, Willcocks Street to the South and Huron Street to the West.
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) weaves extensively throughout Toronto, including the downtown areas of U of T. You can get detailed directions on how to get to U of T (or anywhere in the city) by calling (416) 393-4636. There are three main routes to Sidney Smith Hall.
- Exit the St. George subway station (Bloor-Danforth line and Yonge-University line) and walk south along St. George Street.
- Take the 94 Wellesley bus from Castle Frank subway station (Bloor-Danforth line), Wellesley subway station (Yonge-University line), or Ossington station (Bloor-Danforth line.) Exit at St. George Street and walk south along St. George Street.
- Take the 506 Carlton streetcar from College station and Queen’s Park station on the north-south Yonge-University-Spadina line. Exit at St. George Street and walk north along St. George Street.
